Flooring Sheet

Material acceptance:

LEC will install new, or A and/or B quality framing and plywood at 1st layer. Top layer of plywood is to be 1X use or new. LEC reserves the right to refuse any materials that are not to standard due to prior use, and/or manufacturer defect, transportation, along with material handling mis use. Client to determine layers of plywood: single layer is industry standard, double layer is utilized for long term install.

• If 7” + top/finish layer is utilized as acceptable finish elevation: potential for step into door may be required depending on exterior grade. TBD per site. Standard step is 7 ¼” so this will be utilized to determine acceptance and entry/exit points. LEC will advise with client prior for best understanding.
• Vapor barrier (Tyvek or similar) to be used per product specifications between layers of ¾” CDX plywood. Location of vapor barrier per installation is critical. Vapor barrier to be stapled heavily with mechanical fastener similar to 5/16” or greater crown staples. DR to make and allow adjustments as seen fit with fasteners are not as specified above.

LEC will discuss with client prior as this an additional cost to standard sq ft pricing. Long term install.

• Advise if plastic will be used on earth prior to any flooring materials to installation-specification of product being used (6 mil, etc.). Intent: assist with keeping ground moisture controlled. Long term install.
• Finish layer of flooring (linoleum/astro turf), etc – Only NEW will be accepted and installed.
• 

Linoleum- industry stallation technique and products(adhesive) to be utilized. All seams and but joints to be glued 1’ in all direction.

Astro turf- advise on installation technique and fasteners (staples or adhesive) -staples preferred 5/16” or greater crown staples to be used extremely heavy to secure turfing to plywood.

• Handrails @ exterior entrance option: if steps are involved, necessary. LEC to advise/discuss with client prior as safety concern and requirement.

Caveats:

• Heavy machinery needed will be the responsibility of the LEC and incorporated into pricing. Will be utilized in safe manner by certified operators only while utilizing safety devices as necessary (harness, etc.). 
• LEC will wear appropriate safety clothing and all safety devices as required (harness, hard hat, safety shoes, safety glasses, etc.)
• LEC assumes the right to stop work @ any time due to safety issues/concerns on property, or if working concurrently with other vendors hired by client.
